He presented the idea that the moist wire was causing the failures and there was a possibility that very early HV Transformers and very late ones may have perfectly good wire and therefore work better than the others. So, if you have a pile of Amplifone HV boards laying around and can test them and put the info here, it would be much appreciated, especially by Mike! ;-)
