Atari "Empire Strikes Back" EPROMs ---------------------------------- NOTE: The chip numbers are the numbers on the chips I received with the set. Where my chip numbers read xxxxxx.1yy, the manual reads xxxxxx.0yy. I have attempted to match the numbers up as best as I can. The chip numbered 136021.103 is referred to as 136031.003 in the manual. The "136021.103" was on the chip I got with the set and is not a typo. I have not yet tested the kit; I therefore cannot vouch for the usefulness of these ROMs. (They looked good when I read 'em in, though..) Without the SLAPSTIC, this is of limited value anyways... part number board & loc checksum type ----------- ----------- -------- -------- 136031.101 - Main 1F 27128-3 136031.102 - Main 1J/K 2764-25 136021.203 - Main 1K/L 2764-25 136031.104 - Main 1M 2764-25 136031.105 - ESB U3 27128-3 136031.106 - ESB U2 27128-3 136031.111 - Vector 1L 2732A-25 136031.112 - Sound 1H 2764-25 136031.113 - Sound 1J/K 2764-25 136031.110 - Main 7H 82S137 136031.109 - Main 7J 82S137 136031.108 - Main 7K 82S137 136031.107 - Main 7L 82S137 137412.101 - SLAPSTIC on expansion board (Pal file) If anyone ever figures out how to duplicate the SLAPSTIC (or how to do away with it entirely!), they are *STRONGLY* encouraged to document the procedure and contribute the resulting textfile to the archive, as the gaming community on the 'net would be eternally grateful. ESB Daughterboard info: The daughterboard consists of four chips, laid out as follows: .----------. | U2 U4 U3 | | | | U1 | `----------' (The notch on U2 and U3 is "up". The notch on the SLAPSTIC is to the left.) U1 = SLAPSTIC (part number 137412-101) U2 = 136031.106 (a 27128) U3 = 136031.105 (a 27128) U4 = An empty set of pins for insertion into the empty ROM slot as described in the instructions which came with the conversion kit.
