Featured to the right is a full-sized proof of an early Time 2000 composition. The artists at Atari were masters in design and would often rework an image several times before a final version would be sent for approval. It appears that the body of the nude girl was pasted onto the piece prior to reproduction; an expensive layout and proofing technique in the mid 1970's, but Atari spared no expense in developing the best artwork in the coin-op industry. The image at the right is of George Opperman's original Atarians backglass painting.
This illustration was then converted by Atari graphic designer Bob Flemate into
a 12 color silkscreen.
